Akali leader Chandan Grewal joined ‘AAP’, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inducted him

 Jalandhar, May– Before the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election, the Akali Dal suffered a major blow when their leader Chandan Grewal, influenced by the better policies of the Aam Aadmi Party, joined the AAP in the presence of Bhagwant Mann.

 Chandan Grewal was working as an inspector in Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. But along with this he was continuously active in politics. While he was the president of Jalandhar Nigam Safai Union and Federation in the past, he joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2016 and contested the election from Kartarpur Vidhan Sabha constituency in 2017 for the party.

Apart from this, Chandan Grewal also contested the MLA election from Jalandhar Central on the ticket of Akali Dal in the 2022 elections. Joining the party today, Chandan Grewal said that he has been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party before and today he has returned home. He said that the Mann government is continuously working for the welfare of the people. The purpose of my return is to serve the people.

 Inducting him into the party, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that our only aim is to make Punjab ‘Rangla’. That is why we joined the politics. He said that we welcome everyone who wants to join the party and serve Punjab. Mann reiterated that the Aam Aadmi Party is the people’s choice for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election, and soon the voice of Sushil Kumar Rinku will be heard in the Parliament for the people of Jalandhar.
