Jalandhar, December 13- The 8th edition of the Spark career guidance mela concluded today at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium with a promise to meet next year with even more vibrance.
Presiding over the event, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that the vision was to make youth well-aware about the right career option for them after passing matric or 10+2. He said that the youth were full of talent and energy but they just needed the right kind of guidance which shapes their lives. He said that choosing a field without proper guidance was like sailing without a map and the right guidance is a lighthouse that illuminates the life of a student.
Sarangal said that after 10th and 12th board exams, the students face the daunting task of selecting the right subjects for their higher education. He said that the choice of subjects was a crucial decision that could have a major impact on the student’s future. In today’s fast-changing world, new fields are emerging, and it is essential to be aware of students about the options available, he said. He said that the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed to imparting quality education to the students for which concerted efforts were being made. He said that the government launched several programs including School of Eminence, Business Blaster, and Students’ tour to live launch of Chandrayaan-III, Principals’ specialized training overseas, and many others.
The Deputy Commissioner also expressed hope that the event would prove beneficial for the students in the right field for their lives. He also reiterated his commitment to holding more such events to guide students.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also felicitated the officers and other dignitaries for making the event a huge success.
It may be mentioned here that more than 7000 students from various educational institutions participated in the spark 2023 , which facilitate them to right choice of future education, jobs in govt and private sector .
